Explore Fall provides fall foliage maps, point forecasts, nearby foliage ideas, and community foliage reports.
Explore Fall uses location only if you choose to provide it when submitting a foliage report. Forecast favorites are stored on this device only.
When you submit a foliage report, the app sends the selected place name, latitude and longitude, foliage class, vibrance, observation time, a random report ID, and abuse-prevention information to Explore Fall. If you choose to include them, the app also sends your optional name, note, report photo, and photo credit. Reports may be reviewed and used to improve foliage guidance.
We do not use ads on the mobile app in order to provide uninterrupted access to our suite of fall foliage products. Abuse-prevention systems may limit repeated foliage report submissions from the same client or network.
We use submitted foliage reports to review current foliage conditions, improve foliage guidance, and protect the report tool from abuse.
Community report photos, notes, names, and photo credits are not shown publicly until reviewed by the Explore Fall team. Reports awaiting review may show only basic foliage details such as place, date, foliage class, and vibrance.
If you see a public report, photo, note, or credit that appears incorrect, inappropriate, or uses your content without permission, contact Explore Fall. We can remove reports and limit abusive submissions from repeat clients or networks.
Saved forecast favorites are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to Explore Fall unless you separately choose that location while using another app feature.
The app uses mapping, geocoding, and forecast services to display maps, search for locations, and provide foliage guidance. These services may process technical request information needed to return maps, location suggestions, and forecast data.
To ask about privacy, request deletion of a submitted report, or contact support, email evan@explorefall.com. Please include the report ID if applicable.
We may update this policy as Explore Fall adds or changes app features. The current policy will be available through the app and on the Explore Fall website.
